Our weekend was full of laundry, packing and prepping for our baby-less vacation to VEGAS! However, Mother Nature had different plans, and we never even stepped foot on a plane.
We were supposed to fly from Portland to Philly to Vegas, but Philly was not having any of that! In case you missed it, a massive ice/snow storm hit Philly/DC yesterday and basically shut the airports down.
We arrived at the airport on Sunday afternoon, saw that our flight was delayed then canceled, booked another flight, went to lunch with my dad, got a call that that flight was canceled, headed back to the airport, booked another flight to DC with hopes that we would just get out of Portland. By the time that our last flight was canceled, there were no flights until Tuesday afternoon, so we just scratched our entire trip.
To say we were bummed is an understatement. We tried to get a flight anywhere just to have a few days to ourselves, which is much needed, but there was nothing leaving Portland because there were no planes to take anyone anywhere! In the end, we went back home, gave Cam a bath, put him to bed and came to work today.
Everything happens for a reason, right? I wasn't really read to spend four days away from our little man...especially on my birthday!
Happy Monday, friends!!
